GOVERNOR DARIUS DICKSON ISHAKU

GOVERNOR DARIUS DICKSON ISHAKU, is the incumbent executive governor of Taraba State. Before he became governor of the northeastern Nigerian state, he was a federal minister of Power, the Environment and the Niger Delta. A consultant architect and urban planner by training, Governor Ishaku has successfully deployed the use of hydropower in powering the Highland Tea factory on the Mambilla Plateau, lighting up communities around the plateau and for irrigation in Taraba State. He has been invited to present at the 2017 Africa Today Summit his best practices in what he has done in Taraba State using renewable energy; what has been his successes, how did he do it, and what does it take to be successful using alternative sources of energy.
